Do Good Minnesota started in October 2025 via a text message thread by Mary with “another crazy idea….”

Literally out of the blue… well kind of…

Initially the idea was to see how the process of starting a nonprofit organization worked – what the process entailed – and costs, which turned into funneling our morning coffee ideas into an organized process to actually give back to others and make a difference. Not wanting to keep it to just our own local community, the name Do Good Minnesota came to life. Luckily, it was available!

Many times, you can sit around and talk with your friends and everyone has great ideas, but how often are the next steps taken, not often.

Do Good Minnesota is the next step and it has been AMAZING!

We meet on various mornings in Byron MN currently – and discuss the “Good Stuff” – on personal, community, and statewide levels and toss around the ideas of where we see a need and what we can do to change that.

It really is a grassroots organization, and we are excited to see how it will grow over the coming months and years!
